The Story of
Fashion Night Out

In 2021, celebrity stylist and Houston native, Cash McIntosh was accustomed to the usual birthday celebrations of enjoying Houston’s finest nightlife celebratory activities. However, for that particular birthday he wanted to do something different. He wanted to see his circle of friends and family enjoy a new vibe, that incorporated his passion for styling and the fashion world he’d grown to love and make a full time career. And so, Fashion Night Out, A Fashion Show For The City, was born. With the help of a few friends, local and from all over the nation, McIntosh planned an exclusive fashion show featuring five designers, Busari, Astonishing Apparel, Death Dreams, Vashtieve, and (insert 5th designer). The event sold out with nearly 150 attendees and was the talk of the Houston fashion scene for months to follow.

The following years, 2022 and 2023, had the same goal, bigger, better, and sold out. The two years were a great success with 2023 reaching nearly 700 in attendance. The shows’ theme originated around McIntosh’s love for cars. So

much that, the 2023 show took place at The Asylum Htx, a 130,000 sq ft building housing a variety of cars from the old school classics to limited edition. The large building was the perfect end to the Car themed saga in 2023, allowing guest to engulf in interactive car photo ops and shop at a vendor marketplace created for other fashion brands to market to its own audience directly, after all the guests were there to attend a fashion show. With future shows to follow, the purpose is to continue to grow the brand and its team and outreach. In 2024, the fashion show’s theme “Taking Care of Home” is a tribute to Houston’s culture and endless opportunities. With one of the larger fashion platforms in the city, Fashion Night Out has extended its reach to Texas Southern University and Prairie View A&M fashion students to provide internship opportunities in wardrobe styling, set design, creative direction, marketing, and many more areas that fashion engages with daily. For Fashion Night Out, future endeavors are to remain a consistent platform for Houston students and creatives to have an opportunity right in their backyard, that reaches many other platforms all over the nation and eventually worldwide.

In other words, Fashion Night Out is more than a show, it’s a platform for the creative built by the creatives from all over this world
